Introduction

Apologies about the name, if it seems arrogant or whatever. It’s not meant to be. It’s supposed to be fun, and a reference to Scott Pilgrim and Amy Poehler. Please think of my as a superfan, rather than a big-headed monster.

I’m trying to blog again. I’ve tried, and failed, a number of times, but I have a new computer so I thought “what the hell?” Literally all the best people I know are creating things – blogs, art, delicious food – so (to quote the awesome Mindy Kaling, who I imagine I will refer to a lot, as she is one of my heroes) why not me?

“If you’ve got it, flaunt it. And if you don’t got it? Flaunt it. ‘Cause what are we even doing here if we’re not flaunting it?” – Mindy Kaling, Why Not Me?

In the past, I’ve tried to be a specific type of blogger: a reviewer, a story teller, a lifestyle columnist… but as it turns out, I’m not great at being any of these things. I recently started listening to Caitlin Moran’s Moranifesto (she’s another hero of mine. Everything that woman writes/says is gold!) and she has proved you can be great at being ALL these things. All at once.

So that’s what this thing is going to be. All the things that are in my head, but written down. Sometimes it might focus on tv and films (because I watch a lot of tv and films); sometimes it might be about planning and bullet journaling (because I do/love that); sometimes it might be about feminism (because I’m interested in gender issues); sometimes it might be about…. I dunno, buying things online? I do that a lot too!

Anyway, I’ll try to make it smart, and I’ll try to make it fun, and I’ll try to be myself…

… unless I can be Tina Fey

… then I’ll be Tina Fey!
